EVENT RULES / PRINCIPLES
We don't believe in formal contracts.  Please understand these Omkara principles carefully before booking.  Your kind cooperation is much appreciated by everyone. 

  1. ADMISSION
    Tickets are for admission only and DO NOT guarantee stage performance spots or other amenities. We can only accept CASH for at-the-door prices.
  2. BEHAVIOUR
    OMKARA Nights will always be 100% family-friendly, safe and comfortable for everyone. There is a strict ZERO TOLERANCE policy to any improper behaviour or disruption in any form.
  3. STAGE TIME
    We use a fair rotation policy for all performances and will make sincere efforts to accommodate everyone. There are many opportunities in sing-along games and group. Please also enjoy and celebrate other performances.
  4. ROTATION
    Usually, there are 20-25 individual performance slots/event with about 1-2 chances each depending on demand. A segment is normally reserved for unplugged music & live presentations.
  5. FOOD / DRINK
    Complimentary pizza and refreshments (cookies, crackers, soda) are provided during the break. You are welcome to bring something to share. Alcohol is not served at the event facility.
WHATSAPP GROUP RULES
 
The OMKARA Nights Groups on Whatsapp are exclusive to our events/activities and is for a mature, respectful and non-judgmental gathering of like-minded people. The vision is to keep this group 100% relevant to OMKARA Nights activities as well as vibrant, dignified and thoroughly enjoyable.  Therefore, it is VITALLY important that you understand and accept the operating rules and principles of these Whatsapp Groups as described below.

  1. BE AMBASSADORS
    Attend actual ON events whenever possible. Spread the word with likes, share, commens and recommendations on social media and in your personal circles. This can only grow with your help.
  2. CONTRIBUTE !!
    Be NICE and keep it relevant to OMKARA Nights music. Refrain from meaningless good-morning, emoji-only, random picture, etc posts. No religious, political or public grievances about OMKARA Nights. Don't be a lurker OR a pompous so-and-so.
  3. YOUR MUSIC
    Post YOUR audio/video clips for the daily theme (refer to ‘THEME RULES’). Music in the MAIN group and chat in the DISCUSSIONS group. NO YouTube forwards, flyers, random photos of you with Arijit and external content of any sort. If you're not sure, ASK FIRST.
DAILY WHATSAPP THEME RULES
  
Daily themes have been introduced on our Whatsapp Groups to explore artists and expand our comfort zones as singers and music-lovers.  Here is some additional clarity on how the themes work and how we can all find that happy place and coexist peacefully...
  
  1. CONCEPT / IP
    Rule #1: FOLLOW THE THEME. If you don't like it, wait for it to change. DO NOT sing off-theme and assume it's not a big deal. Don't share these themes with other groups or gatherings without asking. It's a lot of work, respect it.
  2. DISCRETION
    If you have any concerns or complaints, please contact the admin in private to discuss. We are always listening on how to make this a better experience. DO NOT air dirty laundry in public and DO NOT try to pull any fast tricks. We've seen them all
  3. BALANCE
    Do sing, but don’t overdo the number of songs you sing. Show your enthusiasm, but don’t try to hog the limelight. As a general guideline, no more than 2-3 songs / day please. Send theme ideas directly to the theme-master. We love those!
